Shweta , Thanks for your suggestions. We would like to have a look on your advice . Presently , we are covering Bank PO examination but attempts are going on to cover Clerical exams in future.

As i asked the guys to arrange last issued BSC magzines but nobody replied on this..i think everyone is busy…they want to take help from this blog but dont want to give anything to the people who really wants some help..naveen i contacted BSC offive they dont have january,december,november,october issues with then..A member of this site Goldy also asked for the same…so please can u do something…because these will help us to clear the GA section..if anybody has these magzines and he can arrange photocopy of it…I will scan and upload it here..so please navven take a initiate for this.

Amit , I have put some practice paper from November 2008 Issue of BSC ……..Have a look on them. By today itself i will put rest of practice papers . It will help all of the members to perform in GA section.

First of all u should understand that its not a criticism and hence u should not write like this first u should read what i tried to covey her,well its depends upon individual thought what they want to understand from their own way,& similar thing is applicable for u also,so that previous advice for u also am not writing abt. grammar or any correct English since i can understand it better specially when its comes to Hindi medium student it is also for me. it was just friendly advice.

Friends , its a request to the people who are using this platform that please do not spread rumors about the bank examinations. Why they are conducting or whats motive they have ?
In response to some queries regarding the call letter for UBI Examinations , we are very sure that candidates are getting admit cards and in our circle people get their admit cards . Some might have not get because of some postal reasons so do not need to panic.
We have put the post regarding the procedure to get the duplicate admit cards. So , follow the procedure and get the admit cards before the examination date.

i ve applied for punjab national bank management trainee….
but while filling the online form , by mistake i have selected sr instead of general and i submitted that form…whilw taking print out i saw tat and i changed it to general and again i re submited the form with same dd number and all other details.
now i am afraid that i wont be getting call letter.

i have query regarding the cut off marks for written test of po exams,
1. how many questions should be solved from each section for getting in top merit list?
2. what is the ratio of written test marks and interview test marks for final selection list, if somebody gets 80% out of 100% in written test but fail to perform in the interview and gets only 30% out of 100%, will he be finally selected or not?

i am preparing for the sbi mgmt executive exam. the pattern of the paper says that one of the sections is DI& Analysis..but in the sample papers in the website..there are quant questions…i thought DI meant that there would be interpretation of graphs..can someone pl clarify?

As rajat said DI icludes graph, tables, number series, equations(interns of X&Y)…
Descriptive paper comprises of questions in following terms:
a). For and Against
b). 3 measures or recommendations.
c). Letter to Govt Authorities
Mostly the topics asked will be of recent GK. News/Incidents ,which might have come across last month only in newspaper. So read one month back newspapers, inorder to know the current trend (as Des. paper are prepared one month back itself).
Donot write these descriptiv paper as like essay type in our UG or PG exam. Be specific to topic and write as much u can. otherwise leave it.
Jayashree: Try to get this book “Practice sets for Bank PO by BSC publications” for bank PO.
Will due course of time will let you know other books too.

i have appeared in many po exams of different banks but the main problem i am facing is general awareness.
i read issues of last 6-7 months of pratiyogita darpan. but it covers only about 15-20 questions.
the rest question source is unknown for me. can u please tell about, which other magazine or book i should follow to cover those questions of general awareness. (especially financial gk)

Hi Akshay, first of all stop caring about the no of attempts . They provides you vital information where you lag behind. As you mentioned , its the GA part where you are facing lot of problem.
Select BSC Chronicle as the one book that fits for Bank PO exams. Discuss the GA with your family member or if you are alone then take the help of mirros so that you can face yourself and learn much fatser than simply rattafication of the sentences.
Listen the All India News that comes in the morning and in the evening. Otherswise go to the all india radio webiste where you find the news in the mp3 format . You can download those clips and lsiten as much as possible and do this activity daily . Do not miss a single day.
Preparation is the only thing that can give you the confidance friend. All the best and still you have some query than write here , I do reply.

Ritika , Discriptive paper is designed to get the ideas of the candidate . There is nothing right or wrong in the descriptive paper. You have to expres your views and it does not matter from where you took those ideas.
So, start reading newspaer and not just newspaper, I do recomend “THE HINDU”. Read the editorial part. You will know the fact & figures on the latest happenins and also improve your conprehesion .
I know that its one of the toughest job to read the paper but there is no other best alternative for collecting the good ieads to put in the descriptive paper of the bank exams.Nobody can help you on this . Taking notes from others or simply cutting the topics from the paper not going to solve the purpose.
Grasp the topic and try to figure out that what the topic wants to convey and the message the topic wants to deliver and discuss among ourself. This technique will help to understand the topic in more depth so that you would be covinient to put those ideas on the paper.
